I am extremely happy with the fact that I was able to make 2 trips to South America this year.
In Jan/Feb, I went to Patagonia (Argentina & Chile) for trekking and then I made another
trip to Brazil and Peru, covering a few wonders of the World - visiting the Iguazu Falls, Machu
Picchu, the Amazon Forest as well as Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio De Janeiro.
In this gallery, I will showcase some of the best photos that I had taken on both of my trips. And I will add on more as I visit Ecuador, Bolivia and the rest of the countries!

Patagonia
Antonio Pigafetta together with Ferdinand Magellan and his crew arrived in the Gulf of San Julian (Santa Cruz Province) in 1520. Some historians think that the immense footprints left by those Tehuelche hunters led Magellan to call them patagones, a deformation of pata gao, which means "big foot" in Portuguese. Others hold that the term derives from Pathafon, a character of the novel Primaleon, a favourite of the Portguese conquistador. For Magellan, those Indians seemed horrible to him, and thus he called the region "Big Foot country" or "Patagonia".Gallery
