Taktsang Hike BHUTAN
Taktsang Monastery, also named as the Tiger's Nest, is located, 3,100m above Paro Valley.
This monastery has its legend that Guru Rinpoche, flew
to this place, to meditate, and he stayed in
the cave for 3 months.
Most of the visitors to Bhutan all find this a very
worthwhile, and enjoyable trek, with the lush green
pine forests, and various vegetation.
At the monastery, you will be rewarded with a panoramic
view of the Paro Valley
For an average person, the trek one way up to the
Monastery will take about 2-3 hours.
Cameras, and video cameras have to be deposited at the guard house.
It is possible to take a pony up to the mid way point,
but if you want to enter the monastery, you will still
have to do the final walk down the flight of
staircase, cross the bridge under a waterfall, and then
finally, ascend a last flight of steps before reaching
the entrance.
Take the picture tour as we take the trail up to Taktsang Monastery!
